What is the Kiddie Kips bamboo sleep sack, and why use one?
It's a wearable blanket your baby sleeps in instead of loose blankets, which aren't recommended for safe sleep. The breathable bamboo viscose shell and soft organic cotton lining help regulate temperature so your baby stays cozy and secure through the night.
What is the sleep sack made of?
The exterior is 95% viscose from bamboo and 5% spandex for a soft, breathable, gently stretchy feel, with a soft organic cotton inner lining against your baby's skin and a 100% polyester fill for lightweight warmth. Bamboo viscose and cotton are both naturally breathable and help regulate your baby's temperature.
What TOG rating is the sleep sack, and what room temperature is it for?
It has a 1.0 TOG rating, ideal for room temperatures of about 21 to 23°C (69 to 73°F). Dress your baby in light layers underneath and adjust so they stay comfortable, not too warm.
Does the sleep sack have a zipper?
Yes. It uses a 2-way zipper that makes nighttime diaper changes quick and easy, and keeps loose blankets out of the crib for safer sleep.
Are bamboo sleep sacks safe for newborns, and how should they fit?
Sleep sacks support safe sleep: baby sleeps on their back with no loose bedding. The sleep sack comes in 0 to 6 months, 6 to 18 months, and 18 to 36 months. Choose by your baby's weight and height, with a snug fit at the neck and armholes and room around the hips and legs, and follow your pediatrician's safe-sleep guidance.
How do I wash the bamboo sleep sack?
Machine wash cold, inside out, on a gentle cycle with a phosphate-free detergent, then line dry or air fluff. Skip fabric softener, and wash it away from zippers or hardware that could snag the fabric.
